Intelligent Systems and Digital Innovations in Agricultural Applications

SPECIAL ISSUE ON: Intelligent Systems and Digital Innovations in Agricultural Applications

SCOPE: The global agriculture sector is currently facing significant challenges, including rising food demand, resource scarcity, and the effects of climate change. To address these issues, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, image processing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation are becoming increasingly essential for reshaping and optimizing agricultural practices.

This special issue aims to explore the application of these technologies in advancing smart agriculture. Specifically, the research will focus on smart monitoring of crops and livestock, early detection of pests and diseases, optimization of resource usage (e.g., water and fertilizers), and the improvement of post-harvest processes. Automation in farm management and agricultural supply chains will also be key areas, aiming to increase productivity and reduce waste.

The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for cutting-edge research, bringing together scientists, engineers, and experts from diverse fields to develop practical solutions for sustainable and efficient agriculture. The research will combine both theoretical insights and practical applications, with the aim of improving productivity, product quality, and environmental sustainability in agriculture. This special issue seeks to foster collaboration between modern technologies and the agricultural sector's emerging needs, offering innovative solutions for the future of smart and sustainable agriculture.
