About the Journal

Aims and scope

The EAI Endorsed Transactions on Tourism, Technology and Intelligence (TTI) is an interdisciplinary scholarly refereed research journal that aims to promote the theory and practice of tourism by linking tourism, technology, and intelligence disciplines. It addresses the issues involved in intelligent planning, development, and implementation of technological capabilities to shape and accomplish tourism's strategic and operational objectives. It encourages theoretical, practical, policy, and empirical contributions in tourism, technology, and intelligence across social science, economy, education, and engineering. It welcomes new theories, techniques, concepts, algorithms, prototypes, and applications impacting the hospitality and tourism sectors.

In the current academic and industrial landscape, there is a growing interest in AI as a pivotal tool for enhancing networks and designing complex systems, aligning with the vision of new infrastructure for the fifth industrial revolution (Industry 5.0). Innovative concepts exploiting quantum phenomena are gaining momentum, becoming a critical enabling technology for network architecture. Quantum tourism is a theoretical concept that explores the potential intersection of quantum mechanics and the tourism industry for travel planning, security, remote tourism, enhanced exploration, entertainment, architecture, and design.

In addition, integrating AI technologies and principles into the tourism industry is a relatively new and emerging concept. While it may not yet be as established or widely studied as other areas within tourism research, such as technology or sustainability, there is growing interest in exploring the potential applications of AI technologies in the tourism sector.

The journal provides an interface between tourism and other factors such as technology, engineering, hospitality management, planning, and policy. Its ultimate goal is to profoundly contribute to theory development, research, and practice by serving as a leading forum for publishing scholarly research on all aspects of tourism, technology, innovation, and intelligence management.
